St. Anne's Single Room Occupacy was completely rehabbed in 2007. What was once a dangerous eyesore for this south end community is now a jewel of the neighborhood.

St. Anne's is located in the South End of New Bedford and features dorm style, sober, single room occupancy studios. Each tenant rents an approximate 150 sq. foot room, which includes utilities. Bathrooms are shared on each floor with seperate men's and women's facilites, and a large common area and kitchen are on the ground floor with television. Laundry is also located on the ground floor. There are 17 units. There are 2 fully ADA compliant handicapped accessible units on the first floor along with a completely accessible bathroom; and the first floor and ground floor are accessible by lift and outside ramp.

Many of the units can be subsidized by the New Bedford Housing Authority. Off street parking is available. St. Anne's is located in a busy business section of the South End; several resturants, Stop and Shop, Wash Worldconvienience stores are all within walking distance. St. Anne's is also on a SRTA busline and Walmart, Shaw's, and the Dartmouth Mall are all short rides away.

There is a property manager who is at the location 20 hours a week, and CSS will provide case management for some tenants. St. Anne's is also a safe community, all exterior doors are locked at all times, each tenant has an electronic passkey to enter the building.

Income Eligibility: Must have income at or below Low-Income Limit of $24,400

Monthly Rent: $280 all utilities included, $280 Security Deposit due at move in.

Required Intake Documents: State Issued Photo ID; Verification of Income from All Sources; Proof of Citizenship

Once application has been fully processed and approved, you will be placed on the waiting list for a room. If placed on waiting list, it is your responsibility to keep your contact information up-to-date so that you can be notified when a room becomes available.
