Since 1924 Catholic Social Services has been providing Adoption Services in Southeastern Massachusetts and more recently Rhode Island. Domestic and International adoption services including home studies, information and referrals and adoptive parent trainings are provided by our skilled social workers. As an agency we offer service that is professional, personal and dependable. Our staff understands the need for ethical, fine tailored services. They work closely with families to ensure needs are met from the moment your application is received.  

Adoption is a lifelong process and we know that parents may need a variety of specialized services further down the road.  CSS is committed to providing those services now and in the future. The agency is fully Hague Accreditation from the Council on Accreditation. Our Adoption Program Coordinator is a trained Hague Evaluator fully prepared to ensure compliance with all aspects of the Hague Treaty on International Adoptions.

Adoption by Choice also provides Pregnancy counseling, advocacy, and case management; and Short-Term Foster Care.

As a leading provider of adoption services in Southeastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island we specialize in a wide range of adoptions including newborn domestic placements and adoption services for the placement of children of all ages from overseas.  Our domestic newborn program focuses on issues of semi- and fully open adoptions and can prepare individuals to have the insight and knowledge needed to raise a healthy, self-confident adopted child. Specialized training is provided to prospective adoptive parents adopting internationally so that they can be prepared to understand the many issues of adopting a child from abroad.

CSS partners with primary providers that have programs in China, Ethiopia, Russia, Thailand, Ukraine, and several other countries. Our agency holds any individual or provider of adoption services whom CSS may collaborate with to the same high standards and philosophy that our program maintains. Adoption should always be about the child and finding homes for children in need.
