DONOVAN HOUSE

The Donovan House opened it doors in 2001, after a complete rehabilitation sponsored and facilitated by CABH. The Donovan House is a sober transitional housing program for women and their children in New Bedford, Massachusetts. It is a multi story, dorm style living facility which can house as many as 12 adults with their children. Living is shared; there is a huge commercial style kitchen on the basement level, along with community rooms for both adults and children. Bathrooms are shared on each floor. Donovan House has a nice gated piece of land with a beautiful playground and outdoor areas. There is one handicapped unit, and the first floor and the basement floor are completely handicapped accessible. Donovan House is staffed 24 hours a day, and is a secure facility; no one can enter with out the proper pass key or being let in.

Donovan House is not a self referral program, you must be referred to Donovan House by our Basic Needs program, or an outside agency.

If you have any question about Donovan House, or want to refer someone please contact our Basic Needs Program.
