PERMANENT HOUSING
Permanent Housing consists of scattered sites all over our services area, mainly concentrated in New Bedford, Fall River, Attleboro/Taunton, and Hyannis.

Most of the these 100+ sites are multi-bedroom apartments or houses. They cater to single males and females, and families. Most of the single living situation are either dorm style or roomates.

None of these Permanent Housing Programs are self referral (meaning you cannot refer yourself, either our Basic Needs department or an outside agencey needs to refer you) and have strict qualification guidelines. Each program has different criteria, the only thing in common with them qualifying for the federal guideline of homelessness.

Additionally each individual program has it own qualification guidelines. Example: Head of house with documented disability; must be transtioning from incarceration; must be a victim of domestic violence. Please see each individual programs for their particular guidelines. (Programs are in the sidebar highlighted in red).

These programs are designed for long term housing, to help you get your life back together to eventually move on to living on your own. Each client within these programs are provided with at minimum weekly case management, and access to all other CSS services as needed. Additionally, we will work with you to help you pay off your debt, help with your childrens schooling, acquire state and federal benefits, seek counseling services, hire you a PCA, refer you to vocational services, or whatever else you may need.

It is a partnership between you and CSS, in a effort to build you back up as a person, and improve your life for when you leave our programs.
