If you have received a Notice to Quit, you do not need to immediately leave your home. You are entitled to a legal proceeding in which you can defend against the eviction. Only a court order can force you to leave your home. If you have received a notice to quit for nonpayment of rent, do not ignore or discard it. Homeless Prevention Resources – For Individuals and Families at imminent risk of homelessness:
- ESG-NON COVID RELATED – Family/Individuals must meet to income limit and have a 30% AMI, and have received a Court Judgement from Housing Court to vacate home/unit.
- ESG- COVID RELATED – Family/Individuals must meet the income limit and have a 50% AMI, and have received a Notice to Quit, provide documentation inability to pay rent is directly related to COVID
Rapid Rehousing Resources – For Individuals and Families who are physically homeless:
- ESG-NON COVID RELATED – Family/Individuals who lack fixed, regular, and adequate nighttime residence (nighttime residence that is public or private place not meant for human habitation – living in shelter, on streets).
